FAQ

WHAT IS AIRSOFT?

Airsoft is a team based game using realistic imitation firearms (RIF) that shoots 6mm plastic pellets.

The game day will involve different scenarios, some being short games and others that could lest several hours. Usually there will be an objective for your team such as locating, disarming an item or defending its position.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Full details are on the All Arms Airsoft page but prices range from £10 to £38. You'll also need a pair of armbands for £5 that you can keep and a cash deposit of £20 for hire packages.

DOES IT HURT?

Yes and no - is the simple answer. It only stings for a second or two. If you've ever played paintballing, majority of people say that paintballing hurts more than airsoft. There are multiple factors such as how close the enemy shoots you, what weight BB they're using and also where you get hit (exposed skin etc). The tip of the ear hurts though - Ouch!

WHAT KIT DO I NEED?

Eye protection and boots are essential. When starting out, have a look at what others wear and make your own decision based on what you prefer. Don't be afraid to ask other players, they'll always help you out. Airsoft can be as cheap or as expensive as you make it.

If you don't own your own gear, fear not, just turn up in any gear that you don't mind getting dirty.

We hire out weapons and sell BB's, smokes and bangs at our site shop. If you're using our hire weapons, we insist you use our BB's

IS THERE A BREAK?

At All Arms Airsoft there is an hour break roughly between 12:30pm and 13:00pm. Snacks, drinks (hot & cold) and Pot Noodles are available from the site shop.

HOW CAN I BUY MY OWN RIF?

We always recommend hiring out weapons at airsoft sites first to make sure you like it. Some people get shot once and never return or just find that it's simply not for them.

From own personal experience, it's taken me 3 years in the game to finally complete the loadout i'm happy with. There are so many factors to consider such as how it's powered (electric, gas, HPA, spring etc) and different looks/styles that you might prefer over others.

In order to legally purchase your own RIF, you need a UKARA. To get a UKARA you need to be a member of the club and have played AT LEAST 3 times over a period of no less than 2 months - we can process UKARA registrations at the site shop.

Club membership is £30 per annum and this will give you £5 discount off every game and also allow you to apply for your UKARA.
